Est. 2026 · An independent literary imprint
Nathan James Publishing
A literary imprint for readers who are actually paying attention. No genre limits. No age limits. No cultural limits. Books built to reach across every kind of reader who wants honest work.
Nathan James Publishing LLC
The publisher whose terms live on its website.
The debut title
The Book of You.
The first book from Nathan James Publishing. A short, unforgiving meditation on the systems that shape you before you've had a say in them — and the work of finding the person underneath.
The Book of You
What if, from the moment you were born, your entire life was orchestrated by forces outside of your control? What if every belief, every thought, every choice you’ve ever made wasn’t truly yours?
The Book of You is the search for the self buried underneath the inherited world. Twelve chapters written to reach every reader — young or old, whatever generation, whatever culture, whatever background — who has felt the inherited script and wants to write their own.
Partnership roster
Our capacity, in the open.
We're a small imprint on purpose. Every book we take on gets our full backend investment. When we're full, we say we're full.
Why this exists
Three things we do differently.
The publishing industry runs on hidden terms. We publish ours. Then we go a step further and share the numbers.
Our full author partnership agreement is a live page on this site. Read it before you query. No sales call required to see the terms.
Author privacy.
Every quarter we publish what the imprint did — titles released, marketing spend, roster, our own operating summary. What we do NOT publish: our authors’ sales, royalty payments, or any figure that could identify their earnings. Their numbers are theirs.
We build your author business — website, email, hosting, marketing, listings, and ongoing support. You write the book. Nobody else in publishing does this.
Writing something real?
See what a partnership with us actually looks like — the three tiers, the splits, and the contract itself, all before you send a word.
